This week, our Audiologist Claire Marshall had the exciting opportunity to attend the launch event at Widex Headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The event began with Signia introducing their latest innovation, the Pure BCT IX. This new receiver-in-the-canal hearing aid expands their already impressive portfolio. One of the challenges many Android users face is difficulty connecting their devices and streaming audio effectively. The new Pure BCT IX solves this by using traditional Bluetooth, improving connectivity and sound quality for Android users. Our team of Audiologists at The Hearing Centre have had great success with the Pure IX technology, and with this additional model, clients will experience even better compatibility with other devices.
Claire was also invited to speak in front of the delegation, sharing her insights on Signia products and how both Signia and Widex work seamlessly to provide our clients with the best hearing experiences.

The second day took Claire to the Widex Headquarters, where she learned more about the company’s commitment to sustainability. Widex’s building is a perfect example of this, featuring its own wind turbine, solar panels, and a water collection system.
At the event, Widex unveiled their latest innovation: the Widex Allure. Known for their exceptional sound quality, Widex did not disappoint with the Allure. This new platform focuses on ‘Wonderful Sound for All’, and Claire had the chance to test it herself. She took a walk around the wind turbine to experience how the Allure performs in noisy and windy environments. Powered by a next-generation W1 chip, the Allure is four times faster than the previous Widex Moment hearing aid, resulting in improved speech intelligibility in noise and reduced distortion. The technology also boasts an advanced sound classifier, which reduces the need for multiple hearing aid programs by automatically adapting to different environments.

One of the highlights of Claire’s visit was a tour of the Widex factory, which included a visit to the anechoic chamber—a surreal space where there are no sound reflections. Even a simple clap results in no echo, creating a very strange and unique sensation. The sound insulation in this chamber is so effective that even the floor is designed with a mesh frame.
Overall, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for Claire to experience cutting-edge hearing aid technology before its official UK launch next week. It was a valuable experience to see firsthand how these devices are manufactured and meet professionals in the field. We are thrilled to offer the new Widex Allure as soon as it becomes available in April. If you’re interested in a free demonstration, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
